“…anthems of departure and betrayal, boozy tributes to Brel’s total grasp of dead ends… is an inebriating inventory of unreconciled romance… you're bound to find your own losses among Brel's deepest sympathy for life's underdogs"” – Larry Bommer, Chicago Stage and Cinema
“3.5 Stars! splendidly evocative… translated with much power and expression …rich veins of emotion that drive the evening (with) such sensitivity and dramatic truth.” – Dan Zeff, Chicagoland Theatre Reviews
"...must-see theater...stunning ensemble singing, inventive choreography… marvelous production" — Elizabeth Doyle Music

Conceived by Arnold Johnston and Fred Anzevino with translations by Arnold Johnston and music arrangements by Joshua Stephen Kartes, “Jacques Brel’s Lonesome Losers of the Night” follows the trials of two sailors at port in a bar in Amsterdam.
