In the land of the rising sun deep shadows are cast and ghouls, ghosts and demons abound. Come and learn more about what makes those things that go bump in the night haunt the imaginations of your favorite Ukiyo-e, Manga and Anime artists. Please join us for Fright Parade: Creatures of Ukiyo-e that Lurk in Anime and Manga.

Our evening will explore the history and enduring impact of yokai, and other worldly creatures, with three short talks given by Elias Martin, Director of Floating World Gallery, Neil Clingerman from Anime Chicago, and Derrick Tarrance, Lead Designer/Illustrator of Waking Oni. The talks will conclude with an audience Q&A!

Proudly brought to you by the Japanese Culture Center — 日本文化会館, Floating World Gallery Ltd., AnimeChicago.com, and the Japanese Arts Foundation.
