In this 5 week class, we will make an entire table in this class rather than only a table top! (If you are interested in making only a table top, then you should take our 4 week Woodworking 101 class). We will cover shop safety, stock prep, and tool use, focusing on the jointer, planer, and chop saw. All materials are included in the price of the ticket.
***Note: There are two couples tickets available for this class. Couples who sign up will be working on the same project. If you are interested in a singles ticket and they have sold out but the couples tickets have not, you can choose to be put on the waitlist. If the couples tickets do not sell by the week before the class starts, we will change the couples tickets to single tickets for individuals on the waitlist.
Students will use reclaimed, old-growth and mid century lumber from the Rebuilding Exchange warehouse to build an entire table. This project teaches one of the fundamental projects in woodworking: the glue-up. Your tabletop should be no larger than 10 square feet in total. You will be planning the type of base with your instructor at the beggining of the series and working that into your project throughout the duration of the classes.
This class is on the same day and time every week for 5 weeks- you must attend all classes- no make ups! When you select a date- that is the date of the first class- don't forget there are 4 more classes after that. Mark your calenders and let the woodworking begin!
Please review all details below, including the cancellation policies, before committing to a workshop.
No prior wood working experience is necessary. All of our woodworking workshops are 18+.

Workshop and Class Policies:

Please arrive to class on time- especially for an evening class. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late you will only be allowed to observe the remainder of the class. If you arrive more than an hour late, the instructor can choose if they want you to observe the class.
If you can not make a class, then you MUST call or email [email protected] 48 hours before the start of a one-time workshop or class.
If you can not make a 2 or 4 week series workshop, then you MUST call or email [email protected] 1 week before the class starts.
If you drop a class before the deadline, then absolutely NO credit will be given (this includes credit in the form of another class).
If you become ill and seek medical attention, then you must provide Rebuilding Exchange with a physician’s note within one week of the class that you miss. Only then will we be able to provide a credit.
You must attend all of the classes in a 2 or four week series- there are no make-up sessions unless you provide a physician’s note.
If for any reason Rebuilding Exchange needs to cancel a class or workshop, you will be notified and refunded.
