A quest becomes a moral maze without an exit for a young couple in this tense drama. A young woman arrives at a hospital bleeding and faint. Her explanation of rape doesn’t add up to the staff. Her brother is called, but the nervous young man who arrives is not her brother. Trekking from one hospital to the next, the unmarried lovers are trapped by laws requiring that a woman must have her husband’s or father’s permission to receive treatment. In Persian with English subtitles. DCP digital.
