CHALLENGERS Comics + Conversation
1845 N Western Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60647
I don't know about you, but I could use a creative pep talk.
It’s that time again, for the once-a-month, casual hangout after-hours at Challengers Comics + Conversation. This event is meant to build community and foster friendship! Intended for all women and is unequivocally Queer, Non-Binary, & Trans friendly! And this time, we want to get creative with you!
At the beginning of the night, we have an amazing panel of creators from our Women's Comics Month (don't you just love a crossover event?) to talk about what comics mean to them and what inspires them.
— Sarah Becan
— Sage Coffey
— Maria Wolf Lopez
— Sheika Lugtu
— Isabella Rotman
— Sade «SAS-E» Smith
Afterwards, we will have a «Make Your Own Comic» activity where you can make your own four panel comics. Templates, drawing materials, and written instructions will be provided. You also can bring your own creative projects to work on (cosplay, knitting, pet rock painting, etc etc).
We'll also have board games if competition and problem solving are more your creative outlet. Drinks and snacks will be provided as well but this event is BYOB.
Please stop by and have some fun!
