Jessica Risker / Deadbeat
Emily Ritz

Experimental all-around tastemaker JESSICA RISKER takes it solo on her next move. The driving force behind electro-psych band DEADBEAT, JESSICA tones it down with her blend of lo-fi folk. This time around we celebrate the release of her new record, I See You Among The Stars, off Austin-based label Western Vinyl. We’re stoked to catch a more intimate and focused set with this powerhouse of a vocalist as JESSICA is known for bringing experimental music to extreme heights with stunning visual elements to boot.
EMILY RITZ is an independent musician and visual artist who creates otherworldly soul music. A native New Yorker, Ritz spent nearly a decade in the Bay Area, making art as well as performing and releasing music with bands Yesway (with Kacey Johansing), Honeycomb, and DRMS. Her music and art remain very inspired by the lush landscapes of Northern California. Over the years she has shared the stage with artists such as Deradoorian, Toro Y Moi, Laura Veirs and Mirah, and collaborated with members of My Morning Jacket, Thao With The Get Down Stay Down, and Two Gallants.
TY MAXON is a songwriter and guitarist from Michigan. He has been a part of Chicago’s independent music scene since the late 2000s. He has since been featured on NPR's The Morning Shift as well as Daytrotter, who named MAXON’s «I Will Die Tonight» one of the best songs of 2014. «Rooms Within Rooms,» Maxon’s next full-length LP is set to be released later this year. Hopefully we’ll get a taste of the new new tonight.
